Francine Bartlett, PT, DPT, ATC, RYT-200

 
Francine is the Founder, Owner, and Director of Medicine Wheel Wellness and Founder, Co-owner of Excel Physical Therapy.  Her background as a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, and Yoga Instructor coupled with a passion for travel, led into deeper studies of energy medicine and a variety of cultural healing practices. Francine believes whole body optimal health and wellness requires a holistic, integrative approach with balance between the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of well-being.
While she enjoys working with all ages and injuries/conditions, with a 22 year history in orthopedic sports medicine, Francine specializes in athletic injury recovery, particularly knee rehab. She is the Medical Education Director of Opedix Kinetic Health Gear and holds certifications  in Z-Health, SportsMetrics, KinesioTaping, Reflexology, Yoga, Dry Needling, Reiki, Thai Massage, and Kettlebell Training.

  • Donation Dry Needling Clinic
  • Therapeutic Dry Needling will be offered and administered by Licensed Physical Therapists Certified in Therapeutic Dry Needling using solid filiform needles for therapy of muscle and myofascial pain causing sub-acute and chronic discomfort such as tendonitis, joint pain, muscle strains, and sprains.

  • TRX Essentials, Level 1-2
  • TRX total body conditioning, Level 1-2: Build full body strength, mobility, cardio and endurance in a conditioning format workout that incorporates the TRX suspension training system. Suspension training is excellent for assisting in challenging movements, and the difficulty is controlled by each individual.

  • Restorative Yoga-Touch, All Levels
  • Restorative Yoga-Touch incorporates holding longer passive poses supported by props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks to stretch, reduce physical and mental tension while restoring breath and clarity.   • Knee Rehab & Conditioning, Level 1-2
  • Knee Rehab & Conditioning, Level 1-2 is ideal for those who are recovering from a knee injury or looking to prevent injury and enhance performance by improving form, function, balance, strength and stability. Learn basic techniques to strengthen, stabilize and mobilize your lower body to improve your knee health. Instructors: Gianna Risoli, DPT, CSCS & Jennifer Farrugia, LAT, CSCS, MSAT
     
     

  • Medicine Wheel Yoga Flow, All Levels
  • Take your yoga practice around the Medicine Wheel during this healing practice honoring the four directions, seasons, stages of life, and spirit animals to gain guidance, endurance, growth, and change for a happier and healthier life.
     
    Prior yoga experience preferred however all are welcome to experience this unique yoga practice that will include focus on flow, breath, and alignment, utilizing an open mind to gain health and healing.

  • Shoulder & Spine Rehab, Level 1-2
  • This class will emphasize rotator cuff and scapular stabilization exercises which can decrease symptoms associated with impingement, instability, biceps tendonitis, as well as postural imbalances. Our shoulder and spine rehab classes are ideal for those recovering from a shoulder, spine or other upper body injuries or for those looking to prevent injury and improve posture, function and stability.

  • Foundational Training: Back & Hips
  • Our foundation is where the action starts. We gain power, endurance, and ability by creating a stable and strong foundation between the back & hips. Whether it’s to eliminate pain, improve a yoga practice, or become a better runner and climber, this workshop will take you through the steps to set a healthy foundation to prevent injury and enhance performance.
     
    Step 1: The MELT Method: Foam Roll Release
    With Bobbi Reyes, CMT, CPT
     
    Relieve pain, tension, and dehydration in the back, pelvis, and lower legs that can lead to stress and discomfort as well as neck and low back pain. Learn the signature MELT Method Foam-Roll techniques to release and rehydrate connective tissue and rebalance the nervous system.
     
    Step 2: Stretch, Stabilize, and Strengthen
    With Francine Bartlett, DPT, ATC, RYT
     
    Stretch muscles of the back, pelvis, hips, and lower legs to create mobility and flexibility. Learn exercises to stabilize and strengthen to secure injury free activity and enhance performance. Leave with a Home Exercise Program to maintain relief and continue to build a solid foundation.

  • Iron & Steel Strength Training, Level 2-3
  • Iron & Steel Strength Training will utilize Unconventional Training Techniques. It is functional strength and conditioning using unique tools such as Kettlebells, Steel Maces, Battleropes, Bodyweight, and Suspension ropes.
     
    This class is sure to get your working hard but also has a dynamic mobility warm up and stretching and foam rolling at the end. Specializing in human mechanics of Hinge, Squat, Push, Pull, Rotation, and Anti-rotation.
     
    Level 2-3
    Instructor: Adam Dowell, CPT, Kettlebell Specialist, Steel Mace Specialist

  • TRX Fusion Circuit, Level 1-2
  • TRX suspension training is a great way to build strength, cardiovascular capacity, endurance, burn fat and increase flexibility. It allows you to be supported in difficult positions, as well as increase or decrease your own personal difficulty. This class will use classic suspension training techniques but will also incorporate weights such as kettlebells, dumbells, the steel mace, and bodyweight exercises in a fun action packed circuit.
