Deep Powder Turns & Structural Integration


Summer eased into fall and winter is upon us , well almost. I share many of my clients anticipation for making effortless turns in deep cold powder as my practice is informed by my passion for snowboarding or as the French aptly say ‘Surf La Neige!!!!’

I love riding in the mountains whether I earned my turns on Glory, hitched a lift on the tram or I’m putting in a day on patrol at Grand Targhee. To be truly ready for winter means putting in a lot of hard work to reap the rewards. I demand a lot from my body both at play and as a practitioner.

The years of having fun have taken their toll with a resurfaced left hip, an ACL repair and a shoulder surgery. My self care routine includes receiving Structural Integration bodywork, swimming , yoga and easing out the kinks with a foam roller.

I feel so alive and ready to meet the world when I keep on top of my routine with the benefits of Structural Integration bodywork being the foundation that keeps me moving and pain free. I understand how difficult it is to keep fit and meet the many physical challenges after injury so I  use that knowledge as a Structural Integration practitioner to help my client’s achieve their goals.

your deep powder dreams.unnamed A twisted ankle will lead to imbalance in the knee and hip and therefore pelvis which in turn will throw off the torso leaving misalignment throughout your entire structure.

The sense of not being truly in your body can become more and more frustrating and affect your ability to cope with daily life revealing how vulnerable we can be. The thought of not being able to perform at the top of your game gives way to even more setbacks as you struggle to find balance and an acceptable level of fitness.

Structural Integration sessions will help restore your body to a more balanced alignment with greater flexibility, ease of movement and an enhanced ability to cope with stress. My ability to invite change in the human structure is based upon
25 years of studying the healing arts and utilizing the most effective techniques to help you live a pain free life.

I listen to your body with my hands asking permission of your nervous system so it can relax , not feel threatened, and able to be open and receptive to unwinding years of compensation and protective armouring. When your body enters into this safe environment healing the effects of old trauma , both physical and emotional, is truly attainable.

The layers of stress, pain and guarding fall away as you realize that you can breathe more deeply and move with an effortless grace. The series of sessions are taken in sequence each one building upon the last so there is a lasting core structure to work with as you then move into specific training for your sport.
