Taylor McKenna is a Balanced Body Certified Pilates Instructor specializing in Mat Work and Reformer. Taylor was a competitive indoor volleyball player for 12 consecutive years playing for traveling club teams across the United States. In 2012 Taylor sustained a meniscal tear injury while training for her transition into beach volleyball with the AVP in Manhattan Beach, CA. Shortly after her injury Taylor began Physical Therapy and her Pilates journey as a student under the Ramona's Pilates method in St. Louis, MO. Taylor was quickly encouraged to move forward with her certification after her adoration and interest in Pilates began.
Taylor decided to certify with the Internationally Renowned Balanced Body Program while finishing her degree in Hawai'i in 2015. The Balanced Body Program has expanded Taylor's clients from professional athletes looking for longevity in their careers, to everyday clients starting Pilates for the first time or working to rehabilitate an injury.
Working on the Big Island of Hawaii, Taylor was one of only four certified Instructors on the entire island and was a favorite choice among many Hawaiian resorts and studios looking to bring Pilates to the Big Island. Taylor has dedicated her career to Pilates and loves tailoring the organic Pilates methodology to individual clients to help transform their bodies and better their lives. Taylor moved to Jackson Hole, WY from Hawaii in 2017 and plans to expand her Balanced Body continuing education to better her clientele while instructing in this beautiful community of athletes and enthusiasts!

Berry Burton

Berry Burton is a native from Georgia and has been living an active Jackson lifestyle since 2006.
From a very young age Berry was highly involved in gymnastics as well as cheerleading. Similarly to Pilates, both of these sports require balance, efficiency, precision, and coordination. Berry’s first introduction to Pilates was during her preparation for a hip arthroscopy. Pilates was also the main focus for rehabilitation from the procedure. Quickly she saw that the physical and mental benefits of Pilates were remarkable and is thrilled to now be teaching and working toward completing the Teacher Training portion of the Body Arts and Science International (BASI Pilates) Foundation Program.
Berry holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Alabama

"When I am not in the studio practicing Pilates you can find me skiing, mountain biking and rock climbing. As a mother of two little ones we spend most of our time in the Summer camping and playing in the water, while Winters we are primarily skier focused." -Berry Burton

Why holistic wellness is important to me? As an athlete, recovery makes all the difference in my ability to perform at my highest capacity. A holistic approach to healing and recovery is the most effective at deepening my relationship with myself and amplifying self-awareness to my entire being and all aspects of my being.

How/Where I integrate with the healing protocol of MWW? (Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Emotional): I integrate the healing protocol of MWW into my everyday life in many ways to heal and recover for sports performance and overall well-being. I bring the MWW healing
protocol into my yoga classes by inviting freedom of movement and exploration to access connection with your entire being.

How I contribute to the health, wellness and healing of the JH community?: I offer a style of yoga-like movement that embraces organic whole-body movement to enhance connection, optimize flow and fluidity for your being, this movement will
lengthen, strengthen, and hydrate your being. My experience in professional athletics allows me to see through a unique lens where I deeply value quality healing and yoga is a modality in which I get to share a self-healing practice that I utilize regularly.

Health and Wellness Ritual I live by and recommend to all my clients?: Movement is medicine. I encourage people to vary movement, move often, graciously, consciously, and move with curiosity to explore your being.

Personal interests and hobbies?
I spend most of the year traveling, training, and competing on the Skicross World Cup Tour representing USA. I have been ski racing for most of my life and competing at an elite level for nearly 10 years. I embrace mountain living and spend as much time as possible skiing in the backcountry, rock climbing, biking, wandering, and practicing and sharing yoga every chance I get.

In college, Esther started working towards a minor in dance. Most recently, working towards a master’s, Esther studied anatomy and completed BASI Pilates’ graduate teacher training.

Esther loves teaching both private and group Pilates, TRX, Barre, and a variety of other movement, strengthening and balance classes because she gets to inspire the joy of focused attention & concentration along with body awareness & harmony. Esther thrives on unstoppable enthusiasm, in which she sees a bigger message saying, “art is life, come dance with me.”
Mat Pilates emphasizes the fundamentals of core stability, flexibility, breathing, balance, strength, and body awareness. This class is ideal for those recovering from injury, those who want emphasis on proper alignment and a strong foundation.
