Sound Therapy

Sound Therapy is based on the theory that our bodies and everything around us emanates a sound. And even if we cannot hear a sound, we can often still feel it through vibrations. It is said that our bodies, including the organs and ‘chakras’, have their own unique sound which is perfectly balanced. Throughout our daily living, this balance becomes disturbed by internal and external influences. Sound therapy works at re-tuning our bodies using a variety of different instruments, tuning forks, crystal singing bowls and things as simple as the human voice.

The principles of working with sound in the healing process are resonance and harmony. As the sound waves enter the body, sympathetic vibrations occur in its living cells which help resonate and reinforce healthy organization. The high water content of the body's tissue helps to conduct sound and the overall effect is likened to a deep massage at the atomic and molecular levels.

How we use Sound Therapy:

Binaural Beats with Biomat Sessions - We combine the healing power of the Healthyline & Biomat with Binaural Beats Sound therapy to provide a custom experience like you've never experienced before.

A binaural beat is an auditory illusion perceived when two different pure-tone sine waves, both with frequencies lower than 1500 Hz, with less than a 40 Hz difference between them, are presented to a listener dichotically (one through each ear). For example, if a 530 Hz pure tone is presented to a subject's right ear, while a 520 Hz pure tone is presented to the subject's left ear, the listener will perceive the auditory illusion of a third tone, in addition to the two pure-tones presented to each ear. The third sound is called a binaural beat, and in this example would have a perceived pitch correlating to a frequency of 10 Hz, that being the difference between the 530 Hz and 520 Hz pure tones presented to each ear. Crystal Bowls - We use Crystal bowls in all of our sound therapy sessions.
Crystal bowls are made from 99.992% pure crushed quartz and heated to about 4000 degrees in a centrifugal mold, making them incredibly resonant. It is nearly impossible not to relax when you are in the room with these singing beauties. The bowls emit a powerful, pure resonance. Because our bodies are also composed of a crystalline structure, using Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls for healing and meditation allows us to respond more quickly and favorably to the sound as therapy.

The tones produced by crystal bowls are not just heard by the ear, you feel them in your body, with certain tones affecting your energy centers (chakras) for healing, balancing & meditation. Some bowls harmonize with other bowls, and when both are played simultaneously, the effect is exquisite and synergistic.
